The OP U11Greens are nationally ranked in the GotSoccer and NationalSoccerRankings  U.S. National Ranking polls. While a bit subjective (what poll isn't?), it's still fun and a great tribute to the girls.

U11 Green Continues Streak With MOSSL Tourney Win!

You have to go back several years to find a tournament that the girls have not gained a berth in the finals! This past weekend was no exception as the girls ended a magic season by winning the U12A division of the Mid Ohio Select Soccer League Tournament! With preliminary victories over WASA (6-0), Olentangy (1-0) and Gahanna (5-1), the girls advanced to the finals against a fine NCSL Eagles team. The stormy weather set the mood for the girls as they "stormed" their way to a 1-0 victory to take the crown!

The girls amassed a 13-1 goal advantage in going 4-0 with 3 shutouts...

U11 Greens Undefeated in Capturing Adidas Warrior Classic

The girls spent Memorial Day weekend on the pitch in Dayton Ohio at one of the biggest tournaments in the Midwest. In 85 degree heat, the girls gained preliminary victories against NK United (8-0), Ohio Elite (8-0), and LUSC (8-0). The semi-finals pitted the girls against a familiar opponent, Warren County United, also undefeated in preliminary play. Both teams are nationally ranked, and the spectators were treated to some of the best U11 girls soccer played anywhere in the country. The Greens fought to a 1-0 score at half time, which ended up being the final score. In the finals the girls battled a strong Miami Township team, and prevailed, with a 3-1 victory. Congratulations to our girls!

The girls amassed a 28-1 goal advantage, a 5-0 record including 4 shutouts...

Greens Finalists in OSYSA State Cup Challenge

The girls played in their first State Cup Championship this year and had a great run! Victories over Hilliard (7-0), Lady Celtics (7-0), PASA Wildcats (7-0), lead them into the quarter finals against Cardinal Premier. The Greens were on top of their game, dispatching Cardinal Premier 4-0 to move on to the finals against Warren County United. The girls were 3-1 against WC this year, but on that day victory eluded our girls. Hats off to WC on their 3-0 win!

Victory in the Arsenal Elite Invitational!

The girls picked up right where they left off in the Fall by winning their first Spring tournament. With a hand-picked field from Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Missouri, the competition was fierce. The Greens opened with a 4-1 win against a tough MTSC (Ohio) team, then battled quick-footed JB Marine (Missouri) to a 0-0 tie. Sunday morning found the girls facing Warren County United (Ohio) to determine one of the Finalists. It’s always a tough battle, and in the end the Greens were on the winning end of a 2-0 game. The finals found the U11s facing another tough Missouri team, St. Louis SC. The battle raged from one end of the pitch to another, but after regulation neither team was able to find the back of the net. Two overtime periods ended with the same results, so on to penalty kicks. Ace goalkeeper Katherine (who had played great all weekend long), came up with two huge saves to allow our strikers to prevail as tournament champions! Congratulations.

Girls Capture Battle of Nationally Ranked Teams in 22nd Annual Thanksgiving Tournament

The Girls traveled this weekend to Bethesda Maryland to compete against a host of great clubs, including three other nationally ranked teams,  for the championship of the Bethesda Thanksgiving Invitational.
With mild temperatures and beautiful sunshine, Saturday saw the girls win both preliminary games against Maryland teams (5-0 vs. MSC Courage,  3-0 vs. Columbia Premier). In their third preliminary game early Sunday morning, the girls played powerhouse PDA Celtic of New Jersey (#6). It was the best game of the weekend, with both teams highly skilled, fine tuned, and well coached. The game pushed the girls on both sides to the limit, but after 60 minutes of soccer, OP Greens had a 1-0 victory to advance to the finals. Hats off to PDA Celtic for a great game.
The championship game pitted the undefeated OP Greens against undefeated Bethesda Thunder (# 17), who had beaten among others, the Baltimore Bays (#3), to advance to the finals. There was tremendous battling between the touch lines. The Greens controlled the lion's share of the game, but finding the back of the net eluded them. Bethesda had some great breakaways but also couldn't get a game-ending result. After regulation there was no score, which brought on two overtime periods. Again no score. The OP Girls were then declared champions in accordance with the tie-breaking criteria, giving them their third tournament championship to end the Fall season! We salute the Bethesda coaches and players for great play and spirit.

U11s Experience Great Success in MOSSL U12 League

The girls had great success this fall playing up an age group in MOSSL! The U11 Greens followed a great U12 MOSSL regular season performance (champions)  by finishing as runner-up in the U12 league tournament. After strong games against U12 Chilicothe (6-0) and U12 Olentangy (1-0), they met one of our sister teams, U12 Black, at center field. Blacks jumped out to a 1-0 lead on strong play throughout the first half, but the Greens rallied and scored two goals with minutes to go in the contest to win 2-1. In the championship game, the Greens were challenged by a very good Upper Arlington Eagles U12 team. Regulation time ended in a 0-0 tie, so on to overtime. The Eagles scored on a fine breakaway to win the championship game. Congratulations to both teams.

U11 Greens Champions in Fall MOSSL U12 A League Regular Season!

The girls finished the regular season with a 9-1 record to capture the MOSSL regular season, and compiled a 42-5 goal advantage over their competition!
