BELJAN NAMED NSCAA SCHOLAR ALL-AMERICAN
OPE Alumni Kathleen Beljan has been selected as a Scholar All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

January 5, 2012  KANSAS CITY – University of Dayton women’s soccer player Kathleen Beljan was named to the 2011 NSCAA Women’s  College  Scholar All-America Team.   Beljan, a senior defender from Columbus, Ohio, was a second team honoree. 

Last season Beljan became Dayton’s first-ever NSCAA Women’s Scholar All-American First Team selection. She was also named to the 2011 Capital One Academic All-America® Division I Women’s Soccer Second Team, becoming the first Flyer women’s soccer player named to both in the same season.

Beljan was recently named to the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic All-Region First Team. Beljan picked up first team honors for the third consecutive season, and was also second team as a freshman. Beljan was also an OCSA All-Ohio Women’s Soccer Team selection.

Beljan (2010) was named to the Hermann Trophy Watch List.
