Dear OP Eagles,
As the physician for OP Eagles, I have seen several players already in my clinic and want to introduce myself to the group. I am the newest member of OSU Sports Medicine and work out of our Stoneridge office. I also take care of the OSU wrestling, fencing, and gymnastics teams at the Steelwood facility.
I came to OSU from the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, CT. While in CT, I was heavily involved in soccer at the amateur and collegiate levels. I was the physician for Tony DiCicco’s SoccerPlus CT and WPSL CT Reds, and I am delighted to be able to continue my connections with soccer and the WPSL here in Ohio.
My training is in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, with a subspecialty in sports medicine, having done my sports medicine fellowship at the University of Wisconsin. I treat all types of sports injuries and take care of medical illnesses related and unrelated to sports. My special interests lie in concussion management, pediatric and adolescent sports injuries and issues, and female athlete issues. At OSU, I am the Medical Director of the Sports Concussion Program.
I hope to see you on the sidelines and at meetings, and I look forward to getting to know each of you. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful, growing organization. My goal is to play a positive and helpful role in your children’s lives.
Warmly,
Kelsey Logan
