We would like to invite you to participate in a worthwhile community service opportunity that benefits the Children’s Hospital Pediatric Cancer Center right here in Columbus! The PGA Nationwide Tour is coming to Columbus, Ohio again this summer for the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Invitational. We are looking for Middle and High School kids to serve as volunteer Standard Bearers. You would carry the standard (score sign) and walk with the PGA pro’s and a walking scorer (who will guide you) inside the ropes for 18 holes at the beautiful Ohio State University Scarlet course in Upper Arlington. You do not need to know a single thing about golf to volunteer. The only requirement is that you are over 12 years of age and able to walk 18 holes of golf. This is a great way to earn community service hours! For more information, click here. ALL POSITIONS HAVE BEEN FILLED. THANK YOU!
- As many of you are probably aware, there is a Miracle League ball field out at Darree Park. This field affords the opportunity for special needs children to play baseball. The league cannot be successful without the devotion of volunteers, aka ’buddies’ to help the children each game. OP is very proud to be involved with this program. We had several players who signed up be Miracle League Buddies at Darree Park this spring/summer. In fact, the response was so overwhelming that the volunteer list is full! Kudos to your children for getting involved and helping give other kids an opportunity to play baseball. ALL POSITIONS HAVE BEEN FILLED. THANK YOU!
